Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Event Timer – Countdown & Reminders handles information when you use the application.
1. Information Entered Into the App
Event Timer allows users to create and manage countdown events. Information entered by the user may include:
- Event titles
- Event dates and times
- Event categories
- Optional event notes
- Repeat preferences
- Reminder timing preferences
- Pinned or completed event status
- Custom display colors or themes
This information is voluntarily entered by the user for creating, organizing and tracking personal countdowns and reminders.
2. Local Data Storage
Event Timer stores event details, countdown settings, reminder preferences and app settings locally on the user's device.
The developer does not automatically receive, access or store this information on a remote server.
Stored information may be removed when the user deletes it inside the app, clears the app's storage or uninstalls the application.
3. Account Registration
Event Timer does not require users to create an online account, register or sign in to use its standard features.
4. Notifications and Reminders
Event Timer may request notification permission so it can display local alerts for events created by the user.
Notifications may be used for:
- Upcoming birthdays
- Anniversaries
- Travel dates
- Appointments
- Exams
- Payments
- Custom events
Notification permission is optional and can be enabled or disabled through the device's system settings.
5. Calendar Access
Event Timer does not require access to the user's device calendar for its standard countdown functionality unless a future feature explicitly requests such permission.
If calendar integration is added in a future version, the privacy policy and in-app disclosure will be updated before that feature is released.
6. Countdown and Time Calculations
Event Timer calculates remaining days, hours, minutes and seconds using the dates and times entered by the user and the device's local date, time and time-zone settings.
Countdown values may be affected by incorrect device time settings, daylight-saving changes or time-zone changes.
7. Exporting and Sharing
If Event Timer includes sharing functionality, users may choose to share event details or countdown information through another app.
Sharing is initiated by the user. Once information is shared with another application or recipient, its handling is governed by that third party's privacy practices.
8. Internet Access
Event Timer's main countdown and reminder features are designed to function offline.
An internet connection may be required only when optional third-party services, advertising or external sharing features are used.
9. Advertising
Event Timer may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
Google and its advertising partners may process information such as advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location, advertising interactions and diagnostic information, depending on user settings, consent choices and applicable law.
10. Analytics
The current version of Event Timer does not use a third-party analytics service.
11. Crash Reporting
The current version of Event Timer does not use a third-party crash-reporting service.
12. Third-Party Services
Event Timer may use standard Android or Google Play components required for app distribution, notifications, security and device compatibility.
Any third-party service processes information under its own privacy policy and applicable settings.
13. Data Security
Reasonable measures are used to protect information stored by the application. However, no electronic device or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are responsible for protecting access to their device and any event information they choose to share.
14. Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored information remains on the user's device until the user:
- Edits or deletes an event inside Event Timer
- Clears the application's storage
- Uninstalls the application
Because Event Timer does not maintain an online user-account database for its offline functionality, there is generally no server-side account data to request for deletion.
15. Children's Privacy
Event Timer is a general productivity application and is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.
The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the application's features, SDKs, permissions, data practices or legal requirements change.
Any updated policy and effective date will be published on this page.
